County Administration Building @ 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California, 92101
The county just released its historic Regional Decarbonization Framework, an ambitious framework with a goal of zero carbon in San Diego by 2035 that seeks to be a blueprint for climate policy and a model for the rest of the country. We are happy the county is outlining these first steps. We need further action on climate and we need local governments to act. We are already experiencing extreme weather and drought, the result of this climate emergency. Now is the time to act.
Come rally at the county on the morning of November 17, 2021, at 8:00 am. This is the first time the staff is presenting this framework to the Board of Supervisors, and it is an opportunity for the public to weigh in. Make your voice heard and encourage the county to be bold in facing one of the greatest threats we face as a civilization! Join us for a rally outside the county building, and then join us at the Board of Supervisors meeting starting at 9 to speak during public comment.
