Presidential Awards Ceremony Celebrating San Diego Students for the Maasai Education Center Launch

We extend a warm invitation to join us in celebrating the incredible achievements of San Diego students who embarked on a humanitarian journey to Amboseli, Kenya, to launch the Maasal Education Center. This event will be a joyous occasion as we come together to honor the students' contributions with a prestigious national recognition with the President's Volunteer Service Award.
Thanks to the dedication of the students, they worked with the Maasai community to build the first multimedia classroom and provided the center with electricity, Wi-Fi, cameras, and laptops. These technology tools have opened up new opportunities for the Maasai community, allowing them to document and share their rich cultural heritage with a global audience like never before.
The impact of these extraordinary students extended far beyond the Kenyan borders. They participated in the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues, presenting in a side panel titled "Youth-led Climate Advocacy Inspired by Maasai Indigenous Traditional Knowledge! Their voices resonated on a global platform, passionately advocating for a sustainable and equitable future for all.
