ART MILES MURAL PROJECT TO HOST PUBLIC GIANT MURAL PAINTING EVENT IN HONOR OF
DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR OBSERVANCE AND A CALL FOR UNITY OF AMERICANS

The Art Miles Mural Project will host an interactive public GIANT mural painting event following on the heels of the controversial comments made by the President of the United States in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy to unify and promote non-violence and peace among all people of our world. The event will take place on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 480 North El Camino Real, Oceanside, California 92058 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until sunset. All materials will be provided.

The Art Miles Mural Project is a project of the United Nations Association USA San Diego (UNA USA San Diego) and the UN Foundation (501.c3 non-profit organization) and recognizes the urgent need of many citizens to express their views and hopes for peace and unity during these somewhat unsettling times in our history. The mission of the Art Miles Mural Project is to bring people of every nation and walk of life together, through mural art. To date, nearly 5,000 murals on canvas have been created by more than ½ million people from over 100 countries in support of the Culture of Peace.

The Art Miles Mural Project will be featured in the FIRST MURAL MUSEUM IN THE WORLD at its new location once renovation of the site is complete.
